Honest Employment Law Practice Winter Seminar

December 20, 2019

On Thursday 5th December we welcomed clients to the Honest Employment Law Practice winter seminar.

This was a collaboration between the HR and Health and Safety divisions giving an insight into common issues that arise during the winter months and helping clients to be prepared in order that they may prevent some of these issues and/or deal with them appropriately.

From a Health and Safety perspective, our speaker Clark Hunter discussed:

  • The obligations on the employer and the implications of getting it wrong
  • Minimum workplace temperatures and protecting employees from slips, trips and falls due to icy or poorly lit paths.
  • What a Risk Assessment is and how it should be carried out

Moving onto HR, our Training Manager Hattie Parry, covered the common queries we deal with on our support line including winter absences, can’t get to work due to snow and the work’s party.
